Bosch Security Systems and Microsoft co-exhibit at EuroShop 2014 – The world’s leading retail trade fair
- Promotion of the strategic partnership and resulting product collaboration between Bosch Security Systems and Microsoft
- The growing importance of the retail vertical market for both companies
Euroshop, a trade show dedicated to the retailers and their needs, opened its doors in Dusseldorf, Germany from February 16th to the 20th. Through their strategic partnership, Bosch presented the company’s integrated solution at the Microsoft booth.
In total, six hardware and software partners were invited to join the Microsoft booth at Euroshop and be part of the “intelligent retail experience”. The requirements of the retail business range from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, point-of-sale (POS) devices, digital signage and surveillance - just to name a few. Each element carefully contributes to the shopping experience retailers build for their customers. Through their network of partners who cover these different competencies, Microsoft presented solutions for a retail business covering four areas: customers’ “homezone”, back office activities, the store itself and storage.
The Bosch Integration Partner Program contributed to this retail demonstration and represented the critical surveillance aspect. The booth was equipped with four different camera models: Autodome 7000, Flexidome IP micro 2000, Dinion IP starlight 7000 and Dinion IP dynamic 7000 HD. However, the main focus was on the Divar IP 3000 - an embedded device that runs on the Windows Storage Server and is optimized for use with network attached storage devices. The DIVAR IP 3000 comes fully loaded with the Bosch Video Recording Manager (VRM) which is a smart and cost effective alternative to classical Network Video Recorders. The pre-installed dynamic transcoding accesses HD video even with bandwith-limitations. For more information please download the Application Note.
